About Us

The mission of the Valley View Foundation (aka Historic Hemet Theatre Foundation) is to improve the quality of life in the valley community through:  1) historic preservation of the Historic Hemet Theatre (one of the oldest in the nation); 2) cultural enrichment through performing arts and educational programming; and 3) economic revitalization of Hemet’s historic downtown district.

Events hosted include concerts, films, live theatre and educational programs on topics of interest to residents of the valley and the surrounding communities.

Partnerships with local organizations offer fundraising opportunities for nonprofits and educational programming, on topics such as drug use, bullying, women’s issues – usually at no cost to patrons.

The Foundation operates the facility under a 5-year lease/purchase agreement. With owner financing, only $60k is needed to complete the sale (over $15 has already been raised). Raffles are held at each concert event to supplement the Building Fund.

Ticket revenue and sponsorships provide the funding for concerts, films, seminars and live productions. Sponsorships help keep ticket prices affordable and provides a 50% discount to local nonprofits to use the facility.

Venue rentals are available for public or private use. For information, call the theater Box Office at (951) 658-5950.

Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible under section 501(c)3 of the IRS tax code.
